In this week’s video, I make a crosscut insert for my sliding compound miter saw. This insert will create a sacrificial back plate and table top that will offer more stability when cutting small and medium sized material. It will also produce a cleaner, better quality cut. In addition, it can easily be used for miter cuts at 45 degrees. Finally, an added bonus of offering more stability when processing long boards.
