In this week’s video, I build a portable, compact table saw, using an inexpensive 7 1/4 inch circular saw. A SKIL saw is the easiest type of circular saw to implement because it already has mounting holes at the front and the back of the base plate. The rest of the build is just plywood and a little bit hardware. I used pocket Hole Joinery to make up the structure of the portable table and added some clamping bars at the bottom. This saw is perfect when placed on top of saw horses and can be packed up and moved very easily. The table saw fence is the best part. I built a self-squaring, quick release fence that locks into place easily, with no fuss.
