Magnetic Switches or Magswitches as they are called are among the most useful items for woodworking jigs on any other steel deck machinery. My most used jig is the drill press table which gets used every day and make drilling safer too. I use the thing strip ripping jig from time to time but have found the most convenient jig for the table saw is the Patter or “L” Fence jig for quick and accurate trimming of damaged edges such as live edge wood which is rough to start with. I like how the magswitch is easy to swap from jig to jig, I’m sure they are among the most used tools in my workshop. They are great for workholding of all types and work particularly good for items like a featherboard.
